The Woodstork course, opened in 1991, was the first of the courses at Wild Wing Plantation. This Willard Byrd course creates a links/parkland setting on a vast area of land, that remains untouched except for native wildlife. Conservation of natural resources was a main focus when laying out the Woodstork course. |
With indigenous vegetation and water resources found throughout a vast majority of the course, it is shown in the first eight holes winding through wetlands while the remaining 10 holes meander through the majestic pine forest. Known as the “sleeper” of the Wild Wing Courses, Woodstork can surprise golfers with its wonderfully kept greens and immaculate fairways, and will be a enjoyable day of golf for all skill levels.
