Barefoot - Fazio Course Review

We found this course to be both over-rated and over-priced. For the $150 we paid, the six hour round was no bargain.

Deep bunkers? Yeah, so deep the crew can't seem to get into them to use a rake. And good luck to you getting in and out of them. The greens were good but badly blistered with unrepaired ballmarks which took a lot away from them. Mr. Fazio had a beautiful peice of land to work with and did a good job with the layout. The management, on the other hand, is doing their best to over-shadow that effort with lax maintenance and over-booking. Greed seems to be the by-word at The Barefoot Resort. Can't reccommend this as a good golf experience.

Tough test from the back tees. A lot of deep bunkers that test your game. Conditions were great, greens were very nice. Only down side is the highway that runs through the course, a lot of noise carrys from it.

This is definitely one of the best tracks in the Myrtle Beach area.  We played it and the Love course in early December.  Both were in excellent condition and visually beautiful to play.  I recommend trying to play both of them.
