Bay Tree Golf Plantation is a 54-hole golf complex with three of the most celebrated courses on the Grand Strand. Bay Tree continues to host the best the golfing community of South Carolina has to offer. It's the only facility in South Carolina to host a major professional tournament, the 1977 LPGA Championship. The PGA has twice used these outstanding courses for the final stage of Tour qualifying. Craig Stadler, Calvin Peete, and Bruce Lietzke are just three PGA Tour stars who earned their playing card at Bay Tree.
GREEN
The Green Course has recently been completely renovated with it's large, undulating greens being reconstructed to USGA standards. Designed by George Fazio, who was selected by the Golf Digest as one of the top 10 golf architects of the 20th century, this classic layout is affectionately called the "Green Monster". This course has always been recognized for the superb, challenging layout of its holes as they wind through virgin, low country forests. If you play smart golf on this course, you can go home with the satisfaction that you've really accomplished something.
